What a difference two days make! Wright School staff got together during a recent in-service to upgrade a drab corner of Wright School - fun was had by all and the goal - making a beautiful and uplifting work of art - was accomplished!

Liaison T/C Carissa Trotta admires the plain blue wall before the mural project begins. The Staff Development committee came up with the design and the location--the stairwell leading from the first floor down to the Hobbs Room. Everyone pitched in to help with this project, and most Wright School staff members took a turn painting throughout the inservice days.

Computer Administrator Rachel Bowman draws out the mural before the painting begins...

The Painting Crew, Take One: (L to R): Jeff Federman (Day T/C), Patricia Parkins (Evening T/C), Niguel Barnes (Evening T/C), and Tom Holahan (Liaison T/C).

The Painting Crew, Take Two: (L to R): Eric Oliver (Evening Lead Resource T/C), Rebecca Viverette (Clinical Social Worker), Kelly Lohman (Day T/C Assistant), and Carissa Trotta (Liaison T/C).

This was what the mural looked like at the end of the first day. Patricia Parkins puts some final finishing touches on her green t-shirt.

This is the final finished mural--at least for now.The plan is to have the clothesline design come up and down the stairwells to add to the beautification of this once bland and unexciting area of Wright School. Stay tuned for more creative action!
