Vivian Mitchell was selected this year by her peers for the 2009 Wright School Teacher-Counselor of the Year Award.

We celebrate and congratulate Vivian for three decades of dedicated service to Wright School. She has provided informal leadership for hundreds of new Teacher Counselors over the years. She has come to work on time, built and nurtured relationships with colleagues, dressed neatly, casually and with style; and she has always been present, consistent, caring and prepared to do whatever it takes no matter how long it takes!

Vivian has provided formal leadership in wellness activities and medication monitoring as well as informally leading by example. She continues to be a learner about, as well as a teacher and counselor for, our most challenging youngest children, her “hip babies.”

Congratulations, Vivian!
