Who are the children Wright School serves?

During the last 18 months, Wright School served approximately 85 children from the mountains to the coast of North Carolina.

While each child has a unique history and set of experiences that defines his or her childhood, we find that in most cases, the children we serve have adopted problem behaviors as a method of surviving and as an attempt to take care of themselves in difficult situations. We focus on increasing each child and family's capacities to enhance their strengths, develop a supportive community, and create a more positive environment for the child and his family.
